How do I purchase the software if I do not have an Internet connection?
This option is not always offered so if it does not, please contact Softwrap or the software author.
Click the Buy-it button and you will then be given the option to purchase the software by internet or over the phone. If you choose to use the phone, you will be presented with a screen displaying the codes you need to read to the Softwrap™ Helpdesk along with your relevant/contact details. They in turn will give you a code, which you need to enter into the screen in order to activate the application.

I can no longer try the software even though I have re-downloaded it?
The Softwrap™ system only allows you to try the application according to the author's evaluation restrictions. Once the evaluation period has expired you will no longer be able to try the application. Even if you re-download a new copy of the application you will be unable to try it but will still have the option to purchase it.
|
Why after I have already purchased the software is it trying to dial in?
When purchasing with a credit card there is the
possibility of a charge-back occurring for the next seven months. Charge-backs
can occur if the credit card has been used illegally. To cater for this
scenario, the Softwrap™ system will prompt the user a three times within the
first seven months to make sure a charge-back has not occurred. Please note that
you can send the dial-in sequences to the support
center via email if you wish to do so utilizing
the copy/paste feature.

What happens if I purchase more than one Softwrapped application?
You can buy as many wrapped applications as you wish. The wrapped applications run in the same way as any other application.
|
How do I use Softwrap™ from behind a firewall?
If you are purchasing a title online that has been
Softwrapped in an older version of Softwrap you must ensure that ports 9000 ;
9001 ; 9010 ; 9020 ; 9030 ; 9040 are opened on the firewall. If you are unable
to open these ports then feel free to purchase the title offline via calling the
Softwrap 24/7 Call Center on the numbers in the "Contact
us" section above. For titles Softwrapped after
July 2002 (or in Softwrap v3.5.0 or later releases) the above ports need not be
open to effect a purchase.
|
I am getting an error that my software cannot connect to the Softwrap Server?
This could be because you are behind a firewall or that there is a proxy server running. You should open the ports as stipulated above or disable your proxy server.
|
What happens when I click Cancel instead of trying the application?
This will stop the software from loading and return you to your desktop. When you choose to Cancel, this will not count as a 'use' of the software.

What is the difference between re-installation/unlocking licenses and free upgrades?
If you have previously purchased software, the purchase license can be re-installed or unlocked on a pc by selecting re-installation of license from the Softwrap Dialogue box. A free upgrade occurs when you run a brand new version and copy of a piece of software that you previously purchased. If the author chooses to offer a reduced price or free upgrade you will be immediately notified upon running it. You can then register it at no cost or pay the upgrade price but as it is considered new software you cannot unlock the license.
|
How do I re-install software that I have purchased?
To re-install software that you have removed on the same PC or move the license to a new one, you must re-run the software's original installation set-up. Softwrap™ may detect that you have previously bought this software and will automatically run in a purchased status. This means you will not see the Softwrap Dialogue box and will have the full use of the software. If the system does not detect the purchase, this could be due to a major change to the hardware of your system or the installation taking place on a new PC. You can now simply select to re-install the license from the Softwrap dialogue box and using your License Holder Name and Purchase Reference Number received by email during your original purchase, the software can be unlocked to a purchased state. In the event you no longer have the Licence Holder Name and Purchase Reference Number details please email support@softwrap.com with your full name, approximate date of purchase, last 4 digits of the 16 digit credit card number you used to effect the purchase as well as the the name of the Software title you are wishing to re-install.
|
What happens to purchased software when I re-install my computer?
You must re-install the software that has been removed, this must be done by re-running the software's original installation set-up. Softwrap™ will now detect this as a first time run. To get the software back to a purchased status, you can simply select to re-install the license from the Softwrap dialogue box and using your License Holder Name and Purchase Reference Number received by email during purchase, the software can be unlocked to a purchased state.
|
Why does the re-installation or dial-in not accept my License Holder Name and Reference Number?
Ensure that you enter the details exactly as they were emailed to you upon purchase. A common mistake is using the letter "O" instead of the number "0". The only letters used are "A through F".

How do Multi-User Licenses work for purchasers?
An end user can now buy multiple licenses from the same machine in the same amount of time that it would take to purchase just one. The result is that the application would unlock its first copy on the machine used and the confirmation email received will have the unlocking key for the remainder of the machines.
When the purchaser unlocks the application on a new machine, an email is sent to the initial purchaser making them aware of the unlock and number of licenses remaining. They will also be given a unique code for that machine in the event of having to re-install and re-activate it.
|
How do I know if I am a registered user?
Once you purchase an application or game, you become
the registered user of it. The way to tell is that you will no longer see the
Softwrap Dialogue box which offers TRY/BUY/RE-INSTALLATION. If you know that you
have purchased the product and you continue to see the Dialogue box, please contact our 24/7 Toll-free helpdesk and they will assist you in
successfully unlocking the product.
|
I know I purchased the software but I see no difference when using it?
Most authors simply Softwrap their full application/game which you experience during the trial period. Once you make a purchase, the Softwrap Dialogue box disappears and you simply continue to use the software that remains the same. In some instances the author will use functionality enhancements upon purchase. This would unlock various features or new levels to experience. To find out more about the unlocked functionality, please contact the author at their support email address found on the Softwrap Dialogue box or in their help files.
|
I have had hardware problems with my computer and have reinstalled my operating system but your software now requires me to re-purchase?
You need only re-install the Softwrapped application that has previously been purchased. Once this has been done, you can simply select to re-install the license from the Softwrap dialogue box and using your License Holder Name and Purchase Reference Number received by email during purchase, the software can be unlocked to a purchased state. Note that this only applies to Applications wrapped in Softwrap version 3.1 or later

What does it mean when I receive an XtreamLok Alert error?
This error is caused by Xlok when the environment that is running is seen as unsafe, ie that the security could be compromised. Generally there is a debugger program loaded into memory at this time but sometimes an "innocent" program can trigger the error as they are doing something out of the ordinary. You should close all your applications in memory to determine which one is causing the error.
