How to Softwrap your software
You need to go to the Register and Wrap section of our website. All Wrapping now takes place online.
You are now ready to use Softwrap™ to wrap the EXE of the software that you have developed. Please note that you can only wrap Win32 applications.
Insert your Publisher Code and Password that you selected and was subsequently emailed to you upon registration. Click Login.

The first tab you will now see is the Software tab. This screen is used by the Softwrap™ system to record information about the file you are about to wrap.
All fields need to be completed.
The publisher name that you provided upon registration will automatically appear in the publisher field. Select Browse and find the Win32 executable file of your application that you wish to Wrap. Please ensure that you do not wrap the install or setup file for your application but rather the raw executable used to run the program.
Enter the 'program title' as you wish it to appear to your users. Allowance is made for you to include a software version number. This will automatically be appended to the title.
By ticking or unticking the check box labeled 'Enable Multiple Wrapping Tab', the Multiple Wrapping tab will be enabled or disabled respectively. By enabling the Multiple Wrapping tab, the Software Code box will be disabled, and the Sofware Code will be determined on the Multiple Wrapping (see below) Tab. See Multiple Wrapping for a detailed description.
The unique identifier for the software being wrapped is the Software Code. The Software Code is generated AUTOMATICALLY from your Publisher Code and your Software Title. This software code is used by Softwrap to track and identify all your sales.
In the Description field, provide a brief description limited to 255 characters, of the software you have wrapped. For example 'Arcade game', 'Spreadsheets', 'Graphic Editor' and so on. This data will be used by Softwrap to analyze the usage of the wrapping software.
The 'Support E-mail' address is displayed to users, so they can contact you about your software. Please fill in an e-mail address that you will check regularly for queries.
The 'Download URL' box, enables you to provide the URL from where the software that you wish to wrap can be downloaded. By entereing the 'Download URL', an end-user may utilize Softwrap's 'Send to a friend' functionality.
Click 'Next' to enter next wizard.

Begin this wizard by entering the price at which you want to sell the software in the 'Unit Price' field. Please note the following:
- You have the choice of selecting USD($), GBP(£) or EUR(€) for Softwrapping your title. You will receive payment in the same currency in which it is sold.
- Prices must range from $10 to $200 or it's equivalent value in one of the other currencies.
- If your price needs to be different, you will need to contact the Softwrap™ Helpdesk.
Allow Upgrades & Show Upgrade Details If you select this checkbox, you will be able to click on the 3rd tab called 'Upgrade'. This feature, on the 'Upgrade' tab, enables authors the freedom to offer reduced prices or free upgrades to previously released versions of their software with a few simple clicks.
Enable Tax Rules If you select this checkbox, you will be able to set up tax rules, for sales to a particular country and/or state. These tax rules can be set up in the 'Sales and Account Info' section of the Softwrap website.
Distribution Partner By selecting a distributor, Softwrap will automatically apply the charges and benefits associated with that particular distributor, when selling your software off their website as advertised by the distributor. For further details, please contact distribution@softwrap.com.
By agreeing to the relevent terms and conditions for the Distributor you have selected, your Software may be submitted to that Distributor. Softwrap processes all subsequent Distributor Partner Revenue share monthly payments at the same time that you are paid for successful sales.
If 'Multiple Wrapping' is enabled, the 'Distribution Partner' dropdown box is disabled. On the Multiple wrapping tab, you will be able to select multiple partners for a piece of software.

Disable telephone purchase
This feature gives the end-user the option of purchasing a Softwrapped title over the phone instead of over the internet.
Should you not require the use of this feature with the Softwrapped title, you must then click on the check box labeled : 'Disable telephone purchase'.
By disabling the telephone purchase functionality during the wrapping process, security in the wrapped software is increased. However on average 9% of sales occur using the telephone purchase option.
Evaluation Restrictions
You must decide on the type of evaluation restrictions you wish to place on your software. The evaluation restrictions limit the use of the application you have developed.
- Restrict by number of uses
This option limits the number of times an application can be run before it has to be purchased. Simply fill in the number of times you want a user to be able to try out your software.
- Restrict by date or no of days
This option limits the usage to a certain number of days or sets a cut-off date. Insert the number of days for which you want the software to be usable, or fill in the calendar date you want the software to be usable until.
- Restrict by number of uses or by date/number of days (whichever earlier)
This option is a combination of the above two options. You can restrict the number of uses and the duration of usage. The software can be tried until one of the criteria is met. Fill in the details as described above.
- No Restrictions
This allows the application to be used with no limitations. However, it still allows the user to buy the application at any time.
- Totally Restricted (End User must purchase before first execution)
This option forces users to buy the application before they can even try it.
- Restrict total execution time (hr and or min)
This option limits the execution time of the application. You can enable the end user to execute the application for a limited time duration. For example, if you set the time to 15 minutes, the end user will only be able to execute the application for 15 minutes at a time.

 Notes
The Softwrap files (.locked and .sw files) that are created during the wrapping process, and distributed with your Softwrapped application, should never be separated. It is also not permissable to wrap 2 applications and swap their .sw files, even if you wrap the same application multiple times. Each time Softwrap files are created during the wrapping process, these files are unique to the newly Softwrapped title. Support Centre Contact Details
