Tracking Sales Using Cookies

To make use of the cookie tracking in the Softwrap system; the Publisher has to first "plant" the cookie on the end user's machine - this is done at the time of download.
If a cookie is found for the relevant software, it will be used in exactly the same way a bannertag is currently being used.

http://www.softwrap.com/swpurchase/ck_plant.asp?software_code=SOFTWARECODE&distributor=SALESTRACKINGCODE&redirect=http://downloadurl  - where the SOFTWARECODE, SALESTRACKINGCODE and downloadurl are to be changed to the required values.

As an example:
http://www.softwrap.com/swpurchase/ck_plant.asp?software_code=TEST123&distributor=Affiliate1&redirect=http://www.softwrap.com/dummy/test.exe- would download the file test.exe from the Softwrap website, and provided the softwarecode is TEST123 the cookie of Affiliate1 will be detected during the softwrap purchase process.

PLEASE NOTE: The correct software code must be used - as this is the link when the purchase is made.  The distributor field is the BANNERTAG of the adtracker system.  The download url is the url for the file that is to be downloaded.

To check the existing cookie (i.e. as a test method) the following link will work:
http://www.softwrap.com/swpurchase/ck_check.asp?software_code=SOFTWARECODE- and it will display the current cookie for the particular softwarecode

Please note that not all publishers see the bannertags - and this will be enabled on a per publisher basis as needed.
