Buy Before Download Software can be purchased directly from a website or e-shop. The customer can then receive a link to download the protected content and activate the license. This method is very important to help limit bandwidth costs for hosted titles ensuring that all downloads are paid for. CD Activation Software can be distributed by means of a CD/DVD along with a license activation code. The activation is then completed either online or via the toll-free support centre. Re-distribution of the software will result in viral sales as the software remains secured and new users are then able to purchase new licenses.
