Licensed Web Service Integration

Softwrap have implemented web services into their Digital Rights Management solution. This allows licensees to sell Softwrapped content using their own e-commerce or web-basket solution.

Using web services, a customer is able to select a Softwrapped downloadable title as well as other non-Softwrap items and place them into an e-commerce shopping cart. Once the payment has been authorized through the portals e-commerce system, they will send the user an email with a link to download the title as well as license activation details. Simultaneously, the Softwrap System will be informed of this purchase and will add the new user and their licensing details to our database in order to activate their purchase.

Some portals would prefer to only offer the software for download once the sale has been completed as opposed to try-before-you-buy. This is a cost efficient way of supplying downloadable content and keep control over exhorbitant bandwidth costs.

Integration with the Softwrap Web Services is straight forward as it works via a SOAP API. Detailed documention and sample integration codes for various environments are supplied and our development team are on hand to assist with any difficulties.
