What Does "Checking for Charge Backs" Mean?
When purchasing with a credit card there is the possibility of a charge-back occurring for the next seven months. Charge-backs can occur if the credit card has been used illegally. To accomodate this possibility, the Softwrap™ system will prompt the user three times over a seven month period to make sure a charge-back has not occurred.
On this prompt screen there are three buttons:
- Internet:
As before the system will connect to the Softwrap™ Server and verify your details automatically.
- Phone:
This works in a similar manner to phone purchasing, a screen will be shown with details that you need to give to the Softwrap™ Helpdesk. On giving them the relevant details, you will be given a code, which you must enter to continue using the software.
- Cancel:
Clicking the Cancel button allows you to do this later.
After the seven month charge-back period, usage of the purchased software will be seamless.
