Demo Only Try Before You Buy
End-users can download software or install it from a CD/DVD. They will experience a trial period based on a range of protection rules set by the software publisher. The software can be licensed and seamlessly unlocked within the title either online or via a toll-free support centre. Buy Without A Trial
End-users can download software or install it from a CD/DVD. There is no trial period and only the option to purchase a license or activate an existing license. The software can be licensed and seamlessly unlocked within the title either online or via Softwrap's toll-free support centre. Buy Before Download
Software can be purchased directly from a website or
e-shop. The customer can then receive a link to download the protected content
and activate the license. This method is very important to help limit bandwidth
costs for hosted titles ensuring that all downloads are paid
for.
CD Activation
Software can be distributed by means of a CD/DVD along with a license activation code. The activation is then completed either online or via the toll-free support centre. Re-distribution of the software will result in viral sales as the software remains secured and new users are then able to purchase new licenses.
Retail Protection
Software distributed through retail is most at risk to piracy. Softwrap™ ACTIVE! offers a solution to radically reduce piracy from retail sales. Customers are required to activate their software license contained in the retail package either online or via Softwrap's toll-free support centre. In addition, this solution also creates viral sales as well as cross-selling and up-selling opportunities as customer's data is passed onto the author/publisher. Demo Only
This type of protection is geared towards software that is not for sale. Users are able to trial the software for a limited period of time only and then becomes completely inactive. It is a very useful tool for distributing beta versions for testers to ensure it is not widely distributed.
